Elaine is a Registered Psychologist, living on the Central Coast, NSW. She completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in 2021 and Bachelor of Nutritional Sciences (Honours) in 2012. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi).

Elaine has a strong interest in the interconnectedness of physical and mental health. She began her career in the complementary medicine industry, where she applied her knowledge in nutritional sciences to develop natural health products, including herbal supplements. Her interest in health psychology combined with a desire to transition into clinical work, inspired her to pursue further education and become a psychologist.

While studying psychology, Elaine gained valuable experience working and volunteering with the Lifeline phone and text service. She has since worked with clients across the lifespan and has experience in offering interventions for anxiety, depression, substance use, adjustment difficulties, stress and workplace issues. Elaine also has an interest in eating disorders, and is planning to pursue further training in this area. Her lived experience and recovery from disordered eating enhances her compassionate understanding of those affected. Please note she is not yet able to provide support under a Medicare Eating Disorder Plan.

Neurodivergence is a personal and professional interest for Elaine and she is committed to adopting a neurodiversity affirming approach. Elaine provides a safe space for those questioning if they are neurodivergent, as she is passionate about the positive change that can occur from this self exploration. She aims to provide a collaborative, affirming and non- judgemental setting, where clients are free to show up in an authentic way. Elaine is LGBTQIA+ friendly and a trauma-informed practitioner.

Elaine draws upon various therapies including Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Her approach is flexibly adapted to meet the needs of each client.

Aside from work, Elaine is a proud mum of twin boys. She loves exploring beaches, bush walks, and parks - usually in good company or while absorbed in audiobooks or podcasts. Additional leisurely pursuits include Sudoku, Tetris, Scrabble and other board games, when the opportunity strikes.
