Bec is a psychologist living in Adelaide with 13 years experience in the mental health field. She completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in 2013 and went on to work as a mental health support worker for a number of years. She then completed her 2-year psychology internship program and became a registered psychologist in 2021.

Bec is a member of Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPI) and the League of Autistic Psychologists and Affirming Colleagues (LOAPAC). She is also a Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor.

Bec has a passion for working with neurodivergent individuals, whether diagnosed, self identified or questioning. She uses her own lived experience of being a late diagnosed ADHDer to support her clients and enjoys supporting people to understand themselves, develop self-compassion and advocate for themselves. Bec also recognises the overlap of neurodivergence and chronic health conditions and works with clients experiencing a range of health issues including POTS, Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) / Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS).

Bec is also interested in working with clients throughout the perinatal period including all aspects of the conception, pregnancy, birth and post natal journey, and can offer support for neurodivergent women in developing a birth plan and navigating the perinatal period.

Apart from these specific interests, Bec works with clients with a range of presentations including depression, anxiety, trauma, borderline personality disorder and suicidal ideation.

Bec aims to provide a LGBTQIA+ safe, neuro-affirming and trauma informed space. She has experience supporting people in diverse relationship and intimacy structures, including polyamory, consensual non-monogamy, and kink, and provides a non-judgemental space to explore relationships, boundaries, intimacy and identity.

Bec believes in tailoring her therapeutic approach to each individual. She recognises that everyone has different preferences and comfortability in how they would like to receive support, and aims to provide a safe space where clients feel able to discuss this. Bec uses a multi-modal and holistic approach in therapy which means that she will use different techniques from a range of therapies depending on what is needed and preferred by the client. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and schema therapy approaches. She is also trained to provide Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

When she’s not working, Bec spends her time reading, focusing on her 3D printing hyperfixation, and running around after her 2 energetic boys.
