Sarah is a Registered Psychologist living in Adelaide, SA. She completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in 2009 and holds a Master of Philosophy (Public Health and Psychology), both from James Cook University (Cairns). She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi).

Being a psychologist is a second career for Sarah. With an initial strong interest in health psychology, Sarah worked as a research officer on community-level health interventions and taught psychology to sport and exercise, medicine and psychology undergraduate university students. This interest in the psychology of health carries through to her work today.

Sarah has spent the last eight years gaining extensive experience working with Autism and ADHD, as well as the health conditions that are often co-diagnosed with these, such as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and other chronic illnesses. She practices from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective, and being neurodivergent herself, brings this level of understanding from lived experience.

Providing a safe space for people identifying as LGBTQIA+ is important to Sarah, as she has both professional and personal experience within this community, offering a high level of understanding of the unique challenges this can bring. Sarah provides a sex-positive therapeutic space and is kink- and poly-knowledgeable and friendly.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and teen-specific ACT, “DNA-V” by Louise Hayes are the core evidence-based therapies Sarah draws from, tailoring therapeutic interventions to the individual’s requirements. She welcomes the use of communication supports and aids in sessions, including but not limited to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), as well as utilising chat and whiteboard functions.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys dancing and roller skating because she tried running once and was reminded that sometimes, quitting is for winners when something just isn’t for you. Singing along to Stevie Nicks at full volume in the car on the way to fish and chips at the beach is her favourite way to spend a Sunday.
